Our local United Way uses your donations throughout the Piedmont area
(Culpeper, Fauquier, Madison, Orange & Rappahannock Counties) to
strengthen families, build character, promote self-sufficiency, improve
health and support people who really need help, including youth, senior
citizens and those with disabilities. Experienced community volunteers,
knowledgeable of local needs, monitor these programs to ensure money
is well spent.
Your contribution makes a big difference in the lives of people in our five-county area.
Roughly one in every five people in our area are touched by a United Way program or service.
How much you give is up to you. Many people ask, however, how much they should consider giving.
United Way's basic guideline for many years has been one-hour's pay per month. This amounts to
6/10 of one percent of your pay and when you used easy payroll deduction you will hardly notice it.
You may also want to consider a larger donation of 1 % or 1 % of your pay.
United Way also recognizes the following levels of annual Leadership Giving:
The Piedmont Society
 |
Bronze Level |
$250-$499 |
 |
Silver Level |
$500-$999 |
 |
Gold Level |
$1,000-$2,499 |
 |
Platinum Level |
$2,500-$4,999 |
 |
Diamond Level |
$5,000-$9,999 |
Individual contributors of $10,000 or more become members of the national Alexis de Tocqueville Society.
If you commute to work, be sure to designate your contribution to the
